Regional Agro-industries Forum for Asia and the Pacific 

The Asia-Pacific forum will be held from 3 to 6 November 2009 in Shanghai, China.
It is being organized by FAO, IFAD and UNIDO.
The event aims to assist governments in the Asia-Pacific region in creating an enabling environment that will allow industry stakeholders to develop competitive agro-industries that incorporate smallholders as significant stakeholders in agrifood supply chains.
Its format combines plenary technical presentations with roundtable discussions and peer-assisted workshops that should enable selected participants to discuss specific problems and gather insights and advice on their solution from the other participants and representatives of donor agencies that are committed to supporting agro-industries development in Asia and the Pacific.
